The Virtual CFO -
Your Chief Financial Officer

Introduction.
The skills of the modern Chief Financial
Officer (CFO) have expanded well beyond those of the
traditional “bean counter”. The CFO is now expected to manage
finance plus offer substantial input to the operations of the
business. The CFO is often presented with the management of
other departments within a business such as Human Resources,
Legal and Information Technology.
This broad role has allowed the modern
CFO to evolve and create a role which, when performed well, is
an essential position in any business.
The downside for most small to medium
business is that this role is not available within a limited
budget and therefore the business often does without. While
this will save money in the short term, you may find yourself
missing opportunities to expand your business, restructure and
save on costs, refinance debt or any number of other options
which a strong CFO would be expected to identify.
We believe that access to the high level
skills of the Chief Financial Officer should not
be limited purely to those companies or individuals who have
a large enough budget to sustain the cost. We will provide
these skills to you as and when you require them.
